The most comprehensive resource covering all engineering disciplines with over 5 million abstracts of journal articles, technical reports, selected Web sites, conference papers, and proceedings. Includes the contents of several long-running databases, among them Compendex and Inspec, and other industry-related resources.
• TRIS Onlinehttp://trisonline.bts.gov/sundev/search.cfm A comprehensive database of publications on transportation issues. In some cases, links to full text are provided. This work is a joint project of the National Transportation Library, the Transportation Research Board, and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics.

• EEVL: The Internet Guide to Engineering, Mathematics, and Computinghttp://www.eevl.ac.uk Provides reviews of and access to reputable sites on engineering topics such as bioengineering and manufacturing and to online scholarly and trade journals. Particularly useful sites are designated as "key sites." Searches can be limited to key sites, to cataloged descriptions, or to the entire contents of included Web sites.
• MatWeb: The Online Materials Information Resourcehttp://www.matweb.com Links to over 40,000 material datasheets from manufacturers and professional societies covering plastics, metals, ceramics, and composites. May be searched by physical properties or by material type, manufacturer, or trade name. Though access to the datasheets is free, some search features are available only by subscription.
